Underwood Jewellers Warranty Card

Thank you for choosing Underwood Jewellers. Subject to the terms of this warranty, Underwood Jewellers offers a 24 month warranty against manufacturing faults and defects for items purchased at one of our Underwood Jewellers Parramatta stores. To help maintain your jewellery we highly recommend bringing in your jewellery for assessment and cleaning every 6 to 12 months.

This warranty does not apply to items that have been handled against our care instructions or damaged by accident, misuse or normal wear and tear. See below for care instructions. Normal wear and tear would include issues such as scratches and dents, damaged gemstones, wear and damage to settings, loss of gemstones due to worn and/or damaged settings, and so on.

We guarantee all items we repair for 6 months unless otherwise stated. Items excluded from this guarantee include glued items, enamel, loss of stones with less than 4 claws, very thin and worn claws/bead settings/channel settings/bezel settings, gold or rhodium plating, or components we did not repair. Additionally, this warranty is void if any repair or alteration work is carried out by an alternate party other than Underwood Jewellers.

For Australian consumers, this voluntary warranty against defects provides benefits in addition to your other rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable consumer law in Australia and does not exclude, restrict, modify, limit or override your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. (“major failure” has a specific meaning under the Australian Consumer Law). You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

We will happily exchange any item for change of mind within 14 days of purchase given the item has not been worn, is in the same condition that it was in when purchased and, preferably, is in original packaging. Please retain your proof of purchase to assist with your warranty claim. To make a warranty claim, please take your jewellery and proof of purchase to the Underwood Jewellers main store at 28 Phillip Street in Parramatta, NSW.

 

Caring for your jewellery

We provide a complementary clean and check service for jewellery purchased at Underwood Jewellers.

Handle your jewellery from Underwood Jewellers with care at all times.

To best care for your jewellery, we recommend that you avoid wearing jewellery whilst bathing, swimming, sleeping, during sporting activities, gym workouts, gardening and house cleaning. Avoid contact with perfume, creams, lotions, sprays, chlorine, toothpaste and cleaning agents.

To clean your jewellery, use a soft brush with a small amount of mild liquid soap or gentle jewellery cleaning product purchased at Underwood Jewellers. Take extra care with gemstones and plated items as delicate treatment may be necessary. Regular use of a jewellery polishing cloth will help keep your jewellery looking new.

Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, in a lined jewellery box or tarnish resistant pouch, away from heat and moisture; do not store in bathrooms.
